Yes, with no limit on the number of photos.
Does the photo lose quality?
At the default quality of 92 the difference is very hard to see. Choose PNG if you need no loss at all, though the files get bigger.
Why is it slow on my phone?
HEIC decoding is heavy work. Large batches on older phones take a moment, but nothing is waiting on an upload.
